At our office, incoming mail is now destroyed every six months. All electronic documents are stored in the lawyer software. Once the mandate has ended, the file is filed virtually, and the retention period is defined. During the retention period, access to the documents stored in the file continues. Once the retention period has expired, the file is deleted.
