The system can only be maintained if the workflow is systematically adhered to and kept paperless. Our branch in Berlin has been paperless since 1st of January 2016.

We all felt attached to paper and it means a big change for our own workflow. First the documents have to be processed and distributed and only then does the substantive work begin.

Sometimes it is hard to maintain the discipline to name all the documents correctly and process them further. It is especially hard when you are pressed for time. But if you do not stick to the workflow, the system becomes patchy and individual paper documents accumulate. These are then difficult to deal with because physical mandate files no longer exist.

How long have you been paperless?
